Prior to his formation of Beltway Capital in 2001, Mr. Gray was President of Dunkirk Financial Partners, a boutique investment banking firm specializing in the disposition of performing, sub-performing and non-performing residential and commercial assets. Mr. Gray spent 14 years with Bank of America, predominantly in the commercial leveraged lending business and in the Special Assets Unit. Mr. Gray has a B.S. from the Pennsylvania State University and a M.S. from Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh, PA.

James C. Michel, Founding Partner

Mr. Michel came to Beltway Capital Management from Dunkirk Financial Partners, the boutique investment banking firm he co-founded in 1992 and served as Chairman. Mr. Michel served as CFO of Alliance Funding Corporation/J.L.B. Equities, a $3 billion organization specializing in non-conforming mortgages and asset-based commercial lending. Mr. Michel was also SVP and Senior Lending Officer of Bank Hapoalim, B.M. of New York as well as SVP and Co-General Manager of D.G. Bank, Frankfurt, Germany's U.S. operations, SVP and Division Head (National Division) of Marine Midland Bank in NYC and Second Vice President with Chase Manhattan Bank in NYC. Mr. Michel holds a B.A. from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from the Stern Graduate School of Business of New York University. He holds a certificate in Advanced Management from Columbia University, Harriman Graduate School of Business.

Jed S. W. Schaefer, Partner

Mr. Schaefer joined BCM from Capital Crossing (Lehman Brothers Bank, FSB) in Boston where he spent six years as Executive Vice President and Director of Loan Acquisitions. Prior to that Mr. Schaefer was a Vice President in the Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York. Jed started his career as an attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York. Mr. Schaefer has a B.A. from the University of Illinois and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.
